Hi,

I'm also in the Boulder area. I would love to get coffee sometime.

Rayna- There's also a wig shop in Cherry Creek in Denver called Wigs today, the staff there is great, very helpful.

I too would be interested in getting together for coffee. I'm in Lower Highlands, so it would be easy to get out to Golden if that is easiest!

I used the wig shop in Cherry Creek or online. I also have a few Freedom Wigs - adore them. I have a Follea wig and have worn it once - it was way too uncomfortable for me.

Hello!
I'm relatively new to Boulder. Does anyone have any information on the Denver support group? Also, I'm at the point where I really need to start looking into wigs, I would really appreciate a wig shops recommendation. I find the whole process a bit overwhelming!

Thanks!
Rayna

Does anyone have a recommendation for a hairstylist in the Denver area who has done much with alopecia clients and might have some good recommendations on what to do with the hair that I still have?

Rebecca- thank you for the quick reply. I really appreciate your offer and would love to meet you sometime this week if possible. I am off work until Thursday, and then work until 3 in the afternoon. I have the weekend totally open. I live in Greenwood Village, and could easily drive to Golden to meet you. I just had a lace unit glued on a last week, so wouldn't be able to try yours on as you suggested, but it would really help if I could see it on you and ask some questions. Can you let me know what your availability is, and we can arrange something? Thank you again and I look forward to hearing from you! Catherine (Is there a way that we can chat privately to exchange contact information?)

Hi Catherine! Would LOVE to meet up with you! I've been free of hair for over 2 years and have met some amazing people. I have the freedom wig - in fact - interviewed to sell them as I could not live without my freedom wigs. I decided it was too much - but met with the other reps and the head of sales from New Zealand - what an amazing group and I feel blessed to have found them. I'm happy to have you see my wig - try it on (though it's molded for your head so it won't "fit" but it would be good for you to see it and see what you think. Beside that - I just would love to meet you.
I'm at rebeccastrobel@yahoo.com and live in Golden along with Amy - who is AMAZING! BLESSINGS!

I just sent an email, when actually what I wanted to do was post on this site....sorry (I was excited at finding the website). I have been wearing hair for over 10 years. The type of hair has evolved from extentions to integration pieces and currently lace front system which is glued and taped on. I have been researching alternatives as the systems I have been wearing for the last 4 1/2 years are inconsistent in terms of hair quality, excessive breakage and shedding, and I go through about 9 units per year. I have read up on Freedom Wigs. My reluctance with wigs is that I would have to take it off at night. I'm a single person, and I am very self concoius about letting people know I am bald...esp. a partner. I have decided it is probably worth getting a daily wear wig, because what I am experiencing with the semi permanent is negatively affecting my quality of life. The shedding and breakage is an embarrasing mess!

I have a couple of questions I was hoping someone could help me with:
Do any of you that wear Freedom Wigs have problems with hair quality that I've been experincing (especially after washing)? How long (range of time) does a unit typically last? Are you able to give me a ballpark figure of the cost (I wear long blonde hair)? Thank you sooo much for creating this site. I live in Denver and it's comforting to have others in the area to chat with.
