Hello everyone,

I’ve had AU since age 3, and I am 67 now, I became a hairdresser!!

Childhood was tough, but it made me strong mentally and emotionally.

I would like to connect with a support group in Phoenix AZ, if anyone knows of one?

 My derm is at Mayo Clinic.  His name is Dr. Swanson.  It is at least a 9 months wait list to be seen.

Maybe try Yelp for a local Derm and ask if they are familiar with Alopecia.

Yes, I am in Peoria.  I have lived here for 6 years. But I have never personally sought any kind of treatment since living here.

Where in the Valley do you live?  I have heard really good things about a Dermatology office close to me in the West Valley (83rd and Thunderbird) - I have never gone there myself, but it might be a place to start.

I'm a mom of a 2 year old boy with AU. Upon hearing that National Alopecia Day is coming up (aug 4) I'd like to plan a get together in the Phoenix area that day. Maybe a lunch downtown??? Anyone interested? :)
