Ladies - nice to see you here. I hope we can be engaged in this group and in the Female Pattern Baldness group. Same condition, different names, and I prefer androgenic alopecia to the former. :)

I wanted to share a quick story. I was at the grocery store last weekend and across the produce aisle I saw the cutest woman - young, curvy, nice features, and with a lovely short haircut. I remember thinking "what adorable hair." When we got closer I could see that she has very thin hair, obviously experiencing androgenic alopecia like me. Well, the thing is, I hardly noticed at all (I am sort of compulsive about looking at other womens' hair), and what's more, even after I noticed she was still the same woman - young, curvy, nice features, and with a lovely short haircut. She was adorable and her hair did not define her. Out hair does not define us either. Keep that in mind.

Guess what I realized, there is a group for androgenic alopecia that I was in but it is called female pattern baldness. Oh well, we just started a new and fresh group. haha!! Sorry ladies!

I just know how much of a difference it made when I found AW, and found more people going thru what I am going thru. I wanted to make somewhere central where people with androgenic alopecia could chat and get support. It has made such an impact in my life because I don't feel alone or like I am the only person with it(that I know) anymore.

Hi Ladies, Hope you all are doing good! I am not new to thinning hair, just trying to feel as normal as possible in this beauty crazed world! I just need a little support sometimes and hope to be able give some back!!!
