I know a great person in San Francisco. Might be worth a trip!
Anyone know a good place in the GTA to get eyebrows tattooed? (so they don't look like a cookie cutter stencil as I've seen on a few websites)
I haven't been on AW for a while. There seem to be soooo many more groups. Like this one. :)
Hi all,
Hope you are all enjoying spring!!!I am in Toronto for Freedom Wig consults April 28th and 29th. If you know anyone who may be interested please let them know I'm in town.
If you haven't already done so, please look up CANAAF (Canadian National Alopecia Association) on facebook and on their website. They are a great organization that host support groups, fund research for alopecia and hopefully will hold an annual conference.
Perfect timing Jennifer! I was just wondering about something that the Vancouver Support Group could do, as we build momentum here. Will definitely share this. Thanks!
Hello Canucks,
Just wanted to let you know about a foundation here in Canada that helps funding for wigs for children under 18 years of age. They are called Angel Hair for kids and are doing amazing things to fundraise and help kids with alopecia and permanent hairloss find funding for a hairpiece. Their website is found at http://www.acvf.ca/index.php/our-programs/angel-hair-for-kids/. Check them out!
Quite excited to be on the CANAAF FB group now. We can continue to spread the word and invite others. Thanks for looking into it Dawn.
Not sure what is going on with facebook and it's a shame as it's a great tool for letting people know of things. I'll keep looking into it.
I can find CANAAF with a search now - on FB - but wonder if it is because I have been invited. Everyone on CANAAF FB, invite your alopecia FB friends! : )
