Hi Kim. A vacuum wig is one that is made from a mold of your head. It is made of silcone and suctions on to your head. You can't pull it off until you release the suction at the temples. I soooo love mine. So much so that I don't want my hair to grow back. My husband loves it to because I don't spend hours in the bathroom and no hair on the floor. That's right. I have not had time to post my picture. I will try and sit right when you walk into the cafe. I have shoulder length hair - dark brown. Also my mom (who also has alopecia) will be there to. Apparently we look alike. Look for the two wearing wigs! LOL!!! I will wear black pants and a white top. (Now I have to remember to wear that) Does that help???

I am pretty sure I can make it - I have a relative coming in town that afternoon but may be able to get someone else to pick him up and come for a couple of hours. I would love to meet everyone!

Hi Tink. I wear a vacuum wig and just love it. Changed my life. I can swim with my kids and go on roller coaster rides. (Except I get sick). I also wanted to let everyone know that I am trying to get all of us together for a bit of a meet and greet. How does Sunday Aug 29 3pm at Artigiano's in Park Royal's Village (South side) North Vancouver sound?? I know everyone's from different areas - but it's close to the freeway. Let me know. I know Chris you have talked about this before are you up for it??

Hi Tink - I haven't heard of 360 but I do go to Mohair in Gastown - Yanni and her gals do wonderful work and work with women and men with all different types of hair loss/problems. I can't recommend them enough!
