Hi Everyone: I remember there is a women on here who connected Botox to FFA. I was given the article, Frontal Alopecia after Repeated Botulinum
Toxin Type A Injections for Forehead Wrinkles:
An Underestimated Entity?
Antonino Di Pietro a Bianca Maria Piraccini.
This is a very small study but seems to link at least a type of FFA with Botox.
I have gotten botox a few times in the past however, I have the other indications of FFA such as scale, redness etc so I think I have the full blown type as opposed to one brought on by botox.
That being said, I didnt get any botox for fear it would make my hair loss worse.
Im trying a new derm, maybe she will have other ideas!
Best to everyone!

You mentioned the article about the potential connection between Botox and FFA. I wanted to offer some support. It's understandable to be worried about getting Botox if you already have other symptoms of FFA.
Thanks for sharing your experience with Botox and FFA. It's always important to be cautious and do your research before trying any new treatments.
Speaking of hair loss, have you considered PRP hair restoration? https://onsitemedspa.com/services/prp-hair-restoration-in-bel-air-ca/ offers this treatment in Bel Air, CA. PRP involves injecting platelet-rich plasma into the scalp to stimulate hair growth. It's a non-invasive procedure and has shown promising results for many people.
It's great that you're trying out a new dermatologist. They may have some other ideas or treatments to help with your FFA. Don't give up hope – there are many options out there for managing hair loss.
Thanks for sharing this article with us. It's always interesting to hear about new research on the causes of FFA. I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with this condition, but it sounds like you're being proactive about finding new solutions. Anyway, thanks again for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us.
Botox, it's definitely a concern for those of us who have gotten it in the past. I've also heard about this study linking Botox to FFA, so it's something to keep in mind for sure. However, as you mentioned, there are other indications of FFA beyond just hair loss, so it's good to be aware of all of the symptoms. I'm new to this forum, but I wanted to share my experience with FFA as well. I haven't tried Botox before, but I have been exploring other treatments like fillers.
I'm new to this forum, but I wanted to share my experience with FFA as well. I haven't tried Botox before, but I have been exploring other treatments like fillers. In fact, I recently discovered https://rawbeautyaesthetics.com/services/filler-treatment-in-woodla..., a clinic in Woodland Hill that offers a variety of cosmetic treatments for hair loss and other skin conditions. I'm considering trying their filler treatment, so I'll definitely keep everyone posted on my progress.
