Have any of you who received steroid shots experience a bad reaction? I received just one round of "low dose" shots along my forehead about two months ago. I now have numerous deep dents - hairline, sides of head bordering crown (back to my ears) and even on both temples - and at least four deep/wide vertical dents extending from my hairline to eyebrows. And atrophy on both temples. I recently got bangs to hide the deformities, and wear a hat outside for fear of wind. My dermatologist (head of Chicago's Northshore dermatology) is perplexed and said he has never such a reaction. He is sending me to another dermatologist for assessment. My regular MD took one look at my head and referred me to a plastic surgeon. It is that bad, but I'm trying to stay positive and hoping it will improve on its own. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who suffered a similar reaction or has a recommendation for a Chicago area dermatologist with FFA experience.

Hi FFAbulous: I got small indentations on my hairline after those shots. The MD did not tell me I would get them, and when I called her office they told me that was normal. Luckily, the dents smoothed out over time and I do not have them now. The last time I did the shots was over a year ago. It was super painful and did not help at all. I hope your skin improves with time!!!
