Hi Susan, do you know of an support group in the LA area. After this weekends loss I am going to need to buy a wig, my hair went back about 2 inches and it’s coming out in handfuls. No one understands what I am going through not even my therapist. I would like to meet others who because I am sure there is so much I don’t know and want to learn. Thank you.

Hello All--
I have been looking for a group in Los Angeles for some time, now. My dermatologist (Dr. Carolyn Goh at UCLA) holds a support group, but it is infrequent and at inconvenient times. I also don't want to sit in a clinical room and connect with people that way. I would rather do so more organically. Would anyone be interested in a gathering at my home in Pacific Palisades? Maybe a casual potluck and drinks around my fire pit? I have a great home for entertaining and do so often. I am really interested in finding fellow Angelenos who struggle with Alopecia and just make some casual, carefree connections. If a number of you are up for a gathering like this, please say so, and we can figure out a date.

I'm new here so I'm not sure if there are any other local events going on, but there is a support group picnic on June 1st. I'll be there with the family.

Hey guys. Anyone have a good experience with any local wig makers? I am having a hell of a time finding a good one and can't afford to get ripped off anymore. I am looking for a really realistic full custom. Thanks
