I was just diagnosed also Bobbi... I had a sneaking suspicion for awhile though. I just try to make it fun and look at the positive now. I bought some cool clip in extensions and am going to make some clip in dead locks. Just try to focus on the things in life that make you happy and everytime your alopecia thoughts start ovewhelming you, try and put them out of your head. There is no point in worrying about something you can't do anything about. Plus you have everyone here you can talk to!

There will always be bad days where alopecia comes to the pime light. It does get easier though! Try to find locals with AA, or go to the annual conferance!

Hi Bobbi,

I can say that it does get easier. I understand that right now alopecia is at the center of your life but, as time goes by and if you work your way to a place of acceptance alopecia really can take a back seat in your life.

Hi Bobby im the same way.. my hair lost was so fast. In 3 weeks I had to shave my head there was no way to hide anymore. Took the mirrors away from me.

Thank you my hair has came back but it is thin and brittle.now its falling out again I don't know if there isn't anything I can do

I was recently diagnosed with Alopecia Areata and sometimes I wear a wig, however, when I get hot or it is hot outside my head itches. Is there anything I can use or do to stop the itching.
