Is anyone familiar with these tests? My 10 year old son has Alopecia and just had blood work done. His TSH and T3 were normal but his T4 was low. Why would his TSH be normal but his T4 be low? I don't understand. I have hypothyroidism but have never had this happen. We are being referred to an endocrinologist and will be seeing them this Thursday. Just thought I would check here too and see if this has happened to anyone else. Thanks!

probably a separate thing issue for him. My 11-year old also has Alopecia. I have Graves Disease (and a hyper thyroid...).
My dr also ran these tests but all three came back in the normal ranges, although T3 was on the high side of the range. Wish I could be of more help.
