Hi Serina,

There is a support group with Seattle based meetings.  June Secreto is the support group leader.  Her email is rjsecreto@comcast.net.  Please tell her Shari from Tacoma referred you to her.

 

I have wanted to start a support group in the Tacoma Area, however, for whatever reasons, my efforts to start one through this website have failed.  I have a few friends in the Tacoma and Seattle area and we like to get together from time to time just for a fun "coke and a smile".  This really is my favorite type of gathering.

 

My Seattle friend and I have even traveled up to Vancouver Canada to join up with their meetings as they are more what we are looking for (dinner gatherings).  Sadly, it is just too far to go on a regular basis.  They are a wonderful group though!  Look for that group on this site and ask to join if you think you are ever going to want to make a trip to Vancouver!

 

Let me know if you ever want to meet up for a coffee.  I am always interested in meeting more people who have AA.  I find us to be an interesting bunch!

HI Shari,

Thank you for replying to my post. This is the first time I've written anything on the discussion board, sometimes I think I'm still in denial, but that quickly changes every time I pass by a mirror. I will reach out to June, the only concern for me is that I live in Kirkland. Tacoma is quite a stretch but I will do what I need to find support. 

It would be great to start a small group in Seattle/Kirkland area. Perhaps I'll start to put my feelers out there to see if anyone is interested. Meeting once a month just to chat would be a nice source of comfort for most people going through AA.

Hi Serina,

My Seattle friend and I are definitely interested if you get a group together in the Seattle Kirkland area. We drove up to Canada we certainly feel it's closer in Seattle! My Seattle friend had told me she saw your post and tried to write you on this site. However, she said she lost everything she wrote somehow. I told her I already wrote you back. She may still write to you.
My Seattle friend and I are definitely interested in meeting you if you ever want to get together. I wish you luck in your endeavors and reaching out for support.
