I've often thought of becoming a hairstylist myself and of running through a salon complaining about a bad haircut. I'm glad this group exists though because I'm finding many people with alopecia around where I live and I hope to start a local support group where we can all get together to see that we are not alone. I'm hoping to find the support and advise I need here.

LOL! Emily - I love that you are a hairstylist! That is so awesome! When I filmed "A Makeover Story," we had planned to have me run through the lobby of the salon bald and scare the people waiting to have their hair done. LOL! We ran out of time but that would have been funny!

You should TOTALLY do that sometime! JK!!!

im happy this group exists. sometimes i tell people i am a hairstylist and they look at me like im crazy! i try to tell them...if you cant beat it...join it! i try to tell them that i am using my hair loss to make a safer place for other women with hairloss to come in and get hair advice. also, my clients remember me, thats for sure...who else has a bald hairstylist!
