Hello Vancouverites! Connecting is one of the best ways to feel happier and become more informed! Come as you are, whether you are shy or outgoing. This is a genuine and fun group where all of us - new to alopecia or experienced, hair-wearer or au natural, seeking treatment or not - all come together and be supportive, informative, and positive for one another. After 4+ years of running this group, I can say for sure that you'll feel better after a meetup! :)
Come to our monthly meetups, or, start by joining this group and be in the loop of upcoming meetups! Sometimes I include alopecia news / remedy / stories too.
If your kid / teen has alopecia, please contact us and we'll put you in touch with other parents! It'll be, I believe, quite awesome for your child :)

Received two wigs on Thursday...SO fab, can't wait to show you all! After the previous wig got somewhat destroyed by me (lifespan only 1 yr instead of typical 2 yrs for me) over a few months of beach volleyball, I ordered two pieces to avoid two months of bad hair days while I wait for the new wig to arrive! Thank god they both turned out as expected! Straight this time. Kinda Lucy Liu! haha
It was so fun seeing you all ! Thanks for being a great host Dana, it was neat meeting your family. We always have so much to talk about and I can't wait for the next meeting, thanks Mo for offering to host, especially since you are in the vicinity of my favourite CBC celebrity...:) Thelma and Louse hilarious, was it my U turn in the middle of the street? Deeann you got home 20 later than me...wow...I am so glad you are looking for CBC, but I may be a tad biased in my view on how fabulous it is. Take care all, JLo
Thelma and Louise! Hahhaha Mo you are hilarious.
I do love this group. You are all fantastic.
@Dana Sept 15 sounds good - let's do that!
Hahah! Sooo much fun on Saturday night. Thanks for hosting, Dana! 6, 7 hour meet up is not uncommon for us, lol! @Becka could be worth the drive!
Hello!! I'm in Kelowna, is that close enough? lol ;)
I think there's a PF Changs down in Lynnwood (South of the Outlet Mall you mentioned you liked). You were so...funny about PF Changs.
Forgot to tell you all. Kids are sleeping over tonight, and I sprayed pillows with Lavender again. They're asleep, and within about 10 minutes again. Yee ha.
It was wonderful, as always. I like how you all do @.... I'm going to do that too.
@Dana - Thanks for hosting. It's great to see you so happy and relaxed.
@Mo - Great to meet you. I hope you can find a way to make rehabilitation yoga happen. It seems like a great outlet for you, and you can help others too, which is always a good thing.
@Tanya - Can't wait to hear what else is in the works for Knot Theory, breast cancer campaign...
@Jana - You guys were hysterical about CBC. I'm researching right now all the great shows you talked about, and of course want to see this fella who is so handsome.
@Cat - As usual, you crack me up with your escapades. I look forward to hearing what your next one is.
Sorry everyone else wasn't able to make it, and hope the next one works out. Thanks again for a lovely evening. I made it home at 3:20, and dropped into bed soon after. It was good meeting the family Dana.
