Hello Vancouverites! Connecting is one of the best ways to feel happier and become more informed! Come as you are, whether you are shy or outgoing. This is a genuine and fun group where all of us - new to alopecia or experienced, hair-wearer or au natural, seeking treatment or not - all come together and be supportive, informative, and positive for one another. After 4+ years of running this group, I can say for sure that you'll feel better after a meetup! :)
Come to our monthly meetups, or, start by joining this group and be in the loop of upcoming meetups! Sometimes I include alopecia news / remedy / stories too.
If your kid / teen has alopecia, please contact us and we'll put you in touch with other parents! It'll be, I believe, quite awesome for your child :)

@JLo _ I should probably let Tanya take the floor on the hair stuff - she referred me to Toplace, where I have placed an order and am still waiting for my piece to come. :))
It must have been Jim that I met...have a great discussion on the 23rd, looking forward to a little report! :)
Will keep everyone posted on what comes of the 23rd coffee meeting for sure. Ideas and topic suggestions welcome too :)
I look forward to hearing what comes of the 23rd coffee meeting. Have fun. See you all soon.
It is good to hear that CANAAF may be supportive of a Vancouver chapter. I think that under the Canadian name we have a great opportunity to reach more people and get the word out. It's great that this all seems to be happening at the right time. Excellent, CANAAF Vancouver.
@JLo - cool that you met CANAAF at NAAF! :) I guess the father was Jim, the founder of CANAAF!
I'd like to invite everyone to come to a little coffee meeting (tentatively Jan 23rd, Monday @ 8pm). btflbaldgrrl and SilkHead would like to discuss some strategies for the group. If you have some ideas for the future of the group, this will be a great meeting to attend.
cheers!
Tanya
I found CANAFF, when I talked to them in LA at the NAAFF conference, to be a very passionate, motivated group. I had a great conversation with a father of a young girl with Alopecia. It was wonderful to see his love and dedication to his child in action.
Yeah!!! :)
It would be interesting to see if they - CANAAF - were able to identify a core resource in major Canadian cities, and see the organization expand collectively . . . So we don't reinvent the wheel over and over again . . . Interesting to hear that NAAF has paid staff; did not know that. Let's get organizing, CANAAF Vancouver! : )
