any of those dates work for me:)
I will do my best to make it any night that you guys want - glad that we are working it so Deeann can make it :))
Tanya - my ND took a vile of blood and sent it off to the US - Canada isn't set up to do this type of diagnostic work, can you believe it? On this note, I just received this interview from a friend today - very interesting - http://www.gnosticmedia.com/wheatismurder
Thanks so much everybody. What else works for everybody?
Hi all, nice to read the comments and get the interesting updates. I want to host after the 27th so you can come, Deeann, - and it doesn't have to be on a Thursday...let me know what works for y'all!
Tanya,
I did get the blood test done by my GP and the test came back as negative. I had a food allergy test done by my Naturopath (food panel has to go to the States for diagnostics) and my intolerance to wheat was literally off the page. It is a expensive to have done (almost $300) but very accurate and will give you a clear idea what foods you should avoid (I think they test 94 foods and beverages).
I was in Victoria and my good friend just told me that it is possible to ask your GP for a celiac blood test!
That's what she did. And when the result came back positive, she asked to be refereed to a gastro intestinal specialist to confirm (she says the blood test is only 98% accurate, lol). They verified it by sticking a camera down her throat to check her intestinal health!
Then after confirming that she does have celiac, she is able to get tax rebate based on how much more money she has to spend on food because of the celiac disease!
I've always thought the allergy test was super difficult to get and never attempted. I'm going to give this a try! Go to your GP and try the same too if you are curious about your intestinal health. I hope we can share results by our next meeting! :)
Oh. That's so nice Tanya, but don't worry about me. I'll definitely catch up with you soon. Just keep me posted. Happy New Year!!!
