Hello, everybody. I recently got my 14 inch FW back from being repaired. The factory had to add more sillicone to the cap because the new cap did not fit well on my head. They also added more hair to the base. I just got my new FW cut and styled yesterday but, for some reason it seems like a piece of hair how it was inplanted only falls in one direction and does not part naturally or evenly with how the others are in the same direction. See photos. Has anyone else on here had a problem with this? And if you did how did you guys resloved the problem? The stylist cut my FW dry and styled it with a curling iron. When he cut the bangs for the side swept bangs he too noticed that one piece that did not blend with the other hairs where the hair is parted on the FW. He didn't want to cut the bangs any shorter and used hair spray and the curling iron to change the direction. No luck. So I am frustrated and feel helpless and what my options are at this point. Please help, Holly

Hi Holly,

That is frustrating.....were you able to reach the person who sold it to you? What was the response?

Will she guarantee an expedited turn-around time if you need to send it back again?

You have consumer rights in regard to the purchase. It's not a one way street.

Thank you for your feedback and concern Thea. Yes, I have contacted my FW rep about this situation but, no response yet. I just emailed her today. I will let you know what happens. My rep told me if I am unhappy with the wig in anyway the factory will remake it for me. It has just been a series of bad luck with me! I was excited to have longer hair again and my FW rep introduced me to the new cap which was great but, the new cap was so permeable that it did not give the suction/security that I am use to with the previous vacuum cap that FW had. So I had to send it back last year for the repair and just got it back last week. Now, I fear that the implantation of the hair especialy the hair line where the hair parts is not right. Maybe I need to come to realization that I am not destined to have that length of hair or any hair of that matter :( ~Holly
It's so disappointing to anticipate it coming back and then find it's not just perfect in every way. Today you might be feeling it was destiny, but tomorrow you may feel differently. Keep open minded and take it step by step with the rep's suggestions. Let us know what she advises.

Hi Holly,

You can't change the direction the hair wants to go in, so I think they will need to re-implant that section of hair on the FW. How frustrating for you - it takes so long, and it's so far away. But I think you need to insist that it gets done right - after all, you pay enough for these hairpieces - you want it to be just right.

Good luck,

Julia
Thank you for your feedback Julia. Your FW that you are wearing looks amazing on you! Very pretty. I wish my face frame could wear short styles. Yes, these pieces/wigs are amazing to have and wear! They are an investment and I would really like to enjoying wearing them like I have with the other two I have. Except one is out of commission and cannot be repaired. The first one I got lasted me 7 yrs and the current one I am wearing on my profile pic is about the same age except it needs a repair. I hope my FW rep gets back to me soon. ~Holly
Holly,
The 14 inch looks really good on you. My daughter's fitcap and sample hair should be here soon. Looking at your hair, I am wondering may be 12 inch will be a little too short for her. My rep said that for some reasons it is really tough to get 12-14 inch good quality hair this year - the wait is a little longer. How much did your stylist cut from the wig length wise?
He did a really good job. I was unable to spot the problem until the last picture. Hope that you find a solution soon.
Keep us posted.
Myem
Thank you for the nice compliment Myem. 14 inches of hair is a lot of hair! But, your daughter is fine with the 12 inches too if that is what she ordered. The two that I have that are older are 12 inches and the length is great to maintain and work with. 14 inches is nice but, I have to get use to that length since I have not had that long of a hair in a long time. Yes, there is a shortage of long good quality european hair for these wigs. Its a long wait but, worth it. The stylist that did the cut did not cut much off of the length. He just shaped it and even things out. I wanted to keep the length since these wigs you pay for the length and with the length of hair determines on how much you want to pay and of course your budget plays a big part when ordering these wigs. I can't wait for your daughter to get hers and see photos of her FW. I hope all goes well with her and the FW. It has been a roller coaster ride for me with ordering/fit/style with the current one that I just got back. Best of luck with you guys. ~Holly
Wow Holly...your FW last you 7 years!!!!!! That is sooooo awesome. I am getting ready to do the big shave and order my first. So scared! I hope your freedom rep gets back to you soon! Best of luck for the repairs!
Hi, Donna. Yep, 7 years! And I think I had it repaired 3 or 4 times in the 7 yr life expectancy that it had. Unfortunately last year when I sent it to my FW rep the factory gave her and I the bad news that it could no longer be repaired due to how damaged the base cap was and I had to order a new one. The one I am wearing on my profile pic is 8 years old and it needs a repair also. See pic below. It was on the road to be repaired due to the scillicone seperating from the cap which created a bubble and one day I was putting my hair up in a bun for work and I accidently puntured into the air bubble with a bobby pin! Now the fit of my 2nd FW is compromised. I'm not sure if this one can be repaired also and I forgot to ask my rep when I talked to her. I was excited on getting this 14 inch FW back. Take good care of these wigs and they will take good care of you. They are the best and I don't see myself wearing any other hair replacements on my head. I've been very spoiled with these wigs and have gained my self confidence back wearing these wigs. So, don't be afraid. Best of luck and wishes to you also. Post pics when you get yours! ~Holly

I saw Dawn Harrison at Invisible Hair today and she is a life saver! She did an amazing job on my side swept bangs and the fringe/baby hairs that this vacuum wig that I recently got back will be a easy transition for me to wear on a daily basis and also when I go to work in it! Yay! I am so happy that I found her!

Fabulous. I have a FW for 3 month now and I love it - Mine is 8" I wish I can do that pony tail - how did you do that it looks so natural. I love you swept bang - awesome!
Thanks for the comment Pat! I got a hairstylist to do the fringe/baby hairs cut in so that when I wear a ponytail, bun, or half down it looks more natural. You can do that to with your 8 inch length when you wear your hair half up. You would want your hair stylist to cut in the fringe on the side so that the fringe covers the ridge. So that wisps of hair covers your hairline. I hope that makes sense. Your welcome to show her or him with the photos I have posted.
