Hi there everyone
I would love your opinions. I would love to go horse riding and was told I can't go horse riding with my Freedom. I really don't want to wear my old synthetic wig because I look completely different in it and I would worry that it will come off when I take off the horse riding helmet after.
Has anyone had any brilliant breakthroughs with horse riding or noticed they actually CAN wear a riding hat?

I can't imagine why you couldn't go horse-riding in your freedom. I went on roller coasters in mine and no problem. I ride a motorbike to work and wear a helmet with my freedom, no problem.
Hi GrowGirl,
As a rep for Freedom in Canada, I can't see why you couldn't go horse back riding either. I often go snowmobiling and wear a helmet over my Freedom Wig without issue. If you feel like this is an activity in which you would want to wear your Freedom piece doing then do it!
There usually are two kinds of Freedom wearers, those that buy the hairpiece to live the active lifestyle that they want to live and those that are very careful about their wig as they want it to last as long as possible before a repair is needed. If you do wear it for rigourous activity there will be more wear and tear on the wig and you may be looking at a repair earlier than someone who babies their hairpiece. This is something you have to weigh out in terms of your personal wants and needs.
I know for myself, I wear my hairpiece for everything (running, hiking, swimming, waterskiing, white water rafting…you name it) so I usually have a repair that will need to happen around the 2 year mark…but I don't regret it one bit. It's more of a personal decision than an "I can't" decision.
Debbie rides and will be able to give you further info too.
Hope this helps,
Jenn
Hi
I have girls in New Zealand that horse ride and wear freedom wigs. The biggest issue to be aware of with this choice is the continuous rubbing that wearing a helmet may cause, when the helmet moves back and forth on your hair. It could and more than likely will snap it off. It would also do this with growing hair, but that hair would be replaced, obviously with a wig there is no regrowing it.
So, you can wear a Freedom Wig horse riding and wear a helmet etc. but like with all wigs it will shorten the longevity of your Freedom Wig. As Jenn has explained that is a choice you make as to what is more important to you.
In NZ I advise to sometimes wear another wig for horse riding and helmet wearing, if longevity is an issue for that client. The choice around this is yours, but be assured if you want to wear your freedom wig, it will stay on through helmet wearing and horse riding. :)
Hope this helps.

thanks for the replies. Very helpful and delighted to read all your replies. Of course I want the longevity and the freedom! I will use my 'old' freedom to horse ride. I didn't want to use an old synthetic wig as I feel like a different person wearing it.!
thanks again.
