My daughter has been wearing freedom wigs for the last 10 years. I also help people in New Zealand with this choice of wig. I will do my best to give you a bit of an overview on the FREEDOM Vacuum Wig.

Freedom make a fully customised fit exclusively for the wearer, which achieves a comfortable and secure vacuum fit. No tightness or elastic, but security that works for real lifestyles. Silicone alone cannot achieve true security. Silicone combined with accurate fit creates security.

Medical Grade silicone is used in the cap, which means it is Hypoallergenic, Anti –Bacterial, Stain Free and Water Vapour Permeable. The permeability means when you perspire the perspiration is able to pass through the cap, while keeping you and your hair dry and comfortable. No soggy, itchy cap when you are working out, just comfort and security. No heavy layers of fabric, wefting and hair to hold the heat in and irritate your scalp, no sweat and oil build up on your hair or cap, just a thin, light vapour permeable cap that allows you to live comfortably and securely.

Freedom Wigs are a very accurate piece of equipment and to achieve that accuracy most Freedom IA's use medical laser scanners to create a fit for a freedom wig. The technology around a freedom wig is very advanced. I have never seen any other manufacturer or company use such advanced technology to help their clients.

When swimming the cap is secure and when you get out of the water your hair dries just like someone's growing hair...no soggy wet material to contend with. Just a thin silicone cap to keep you secure and comfortable in real life situations.

The hair in a Freedom Wig is 100% unprocessed virgin human hair. Very few companies are able to use this hair, but it is very worthwhile to have this type of hair in a hairpiece. It is truly beautiful and looks like people's growing hair (because it has come from people with growing hair).

The hair implantation technique used in a Freedom Wig is extremely good. Over the whole wig it looks like your growing hair...and even better it moves like growing hair. I have never seen any wigs that move and react like a Freedom Wig...they really are amazing. This means you are able to wear your hair up and in ponytails, you are able to part it anywhere and it will look like your head. When the wind blows and naturally parts the hair it moves like your hair and the scalp looks like your scalp.

The cap and hair is easily cared for – no special products required. Wash your hair in the shower if you wish.

Longevity and durability is dependent on the clients lifestlye and how the Freedom Wig is looked after. If you have one freedom hairpiece and look after it well I would hope that you would get up to three years wear from it with one repair. Some people get longer, but I think this would be an acceptable durability timescale.

My daughter has 4 freedom wigs. Two are over 6 years old and still beautiful (both have had repairs though). The other two are 4 and 3 years old have not needed repairs and are looking fab.

I have heard of the hair systems that you have been wearing. Hair systems were not a good option for my daughter for a myriad of reasons. Freedom has worked incredibly well for us.
