I wore my FW for the first time all day this past weekend. I noticed an hour or so after putting it on that I began to get a headache. I thought that this may be part of breaking it in. So, it went pretty good all day, but it just felt really tight. It is supposed to though! When I got home and took it off, it felt like it was stuck to the front of my head. When I got it off, I had three red marks on the front of my hairline and they were really sore. They are still sore and red this morning. Anyone else have an experience like this?
Thanks!

Hello! Please have a chat with your independent agent (is it Debbi?) It sounds like you are wearing too far forward on your forehead which will cause both a "tight" feeling and potential headaches. A Freedom Wig should never feel tight or give you headaches and normally by wearing a few millimeters or perhaps 1/4" to 1/2" back, this will make a world of difference. But call your IA - that is what we are here for! :)
Best, Kim Karacz
Hi Momoftwoboys,
I'm not using your real name here since you aren't either - but please call me right away. I emailed you about what I think might be happening - I agree with Kim that it is probably positioned just slightly wrong, but let's talk about it immediately - today, so we can figure it out - I doubt it will be hard to straighten out once we have it positioned correctly. Kim is right - that's what we are here for!!
Hello, I have a Freedom wig, and it does take breaking in to get it to be really comfortable. I have been wearing vacuum wigs for 20 years (from 3 different companies) and they all are a *little* tight to begin with. However, it should not cause any chaffing or severe redness/headaches. Mild redness is normal in my experience. If you are still sore/red after an evening of not wearing it, I would think it's much too tight. I hope this helps.
The scanning technology (or a plaster mold) is very accurate. It's not really possible for it to be any tighter than the fit cap. Usually, when people have redness, they have the cap positioned just slightly wrong - a bit too far forward will cause this. Whenever anyone has a "too tight" issue - unless it is caused by a growth spurt in the case of a child, or gaining over 25 pounds, it is almost always a case of positioning. There is a little 'break in' period, but I really think that this is a case of getting it in the exact right spot. We're here to help if anyone has questions or problems.
Thanks ladies and Thanks Debbi for the phone call. I put on my fit cap and I noticed that I definitely had it on too low. That should solve my problem. Thanks so much!!!
