Hi there lovely!
I actually style it while on my head. I wash it and with a towel - gently dry it with some pats and then sit it on my tall head stand and let it air dry (moving the bangs how I like them of course and combing it lightly so it's ready for styling). I use a styling spray that "moisturizes it" before hand.
When it dries - I use a brush and curler and style it on my head. Just seems so much easier to me as it stays on - I can dry it as I did with my "real hair" and it styles so quickly. I would think with a tool that gets so hot - you'd make sure it DOES stay away from the silicone. You can get fairly close to the scalp without touching it with the iron or curler.
Have fun - you'll ADORE your new hair! I have 2 and it's amazing what this hair does for you - truly is.
I actually have one with slight movement. I wash off my head and lay in towel for a bit. I then put it on and have recently started letting it air dry to see the wave. then I add a few sprays of thermal protect and add the full curls maybe a inch culing iron. looks great. i only blow dry the bangs.
Hi,
I've always styled it on my head using a cool/warm setting on blowdryer & vent brush using gentle tension. I use a spray-onproduct to protect hair from curling iron or flatiron & never use hot heat - cool to warm & be sure to keep it away from the silicone scalp. Only way to keep on styrofoam head is too use wig pins which will damage the interior silicone - not recommended at all. Remember that any high heat can potentially damage the hair & base. Hope this helps.
