I had a wonderful compliment paid to me yesterday. Was out buying dinner and a lady asked me where I get my hair styled and cut, said she had just moved into the area and was looking for a hairdresser, I told her it was a wig and she was blown away couldn't believe it made me feel so good and I an usually very self conscious about wearing my wig so had her fooled great stuff. Not the one I am wearing in the photo I brought a new wig from the w omens

Wish I could blame the earthquakes for my daughters alopecia.......sadly that all started way before Sept 4th last year =( And yes Paul, front page of a major newspaper......good on her, such a brave thing!! I personally didn't agree with everything that was in the article, but getting alopecia more widely known in our country is fantastic =)

Hi Ali, my son is 5 and has AU. He started losing his hair just before he turned 4. We live in Auckland too, on the North Shore

Hi,

I was looking into it and a parent in Auckland thought of the same idea. I guess the problem at the moment is that there is no indication of how many alopecian children there are around NZ, where they are etc, how many would attend . I guess I'd better find out lol.

Cheers
Paul
