Hi all! My daughter Ashleigh suffers from alopecia (shes 11) and Im quite keen for her to meet others with the condition. We live in Rangiora which is just north of Christchurch. Shes quite confident thank goodness, she was even interviewed for Close Up a couple of years ago and took her wig off in front of the camera! Will keep my eye out for a Christchurch catch up!

Hay just arrived from Ireland. I saw one other person with alopica the first day I arrived or more like he noticed me. on crossing the road in Auculand I felt eyes were upon me. I looked over to see a buss driver stopped at lights and we both stoped for a second. I examined his face as he did mine. no eye brows, no eye lashes, no beard and no hair. he smiled i smiled gave him a wink and gave him the tumbs up symble. we are not allone after all. im in wellington at the moment thats the first person I have ever seen with alopica and embracing it as I was thst fine day

Hi Lisamarie, I know a nine year old boy with alopecia in the Otago region. He and his family would like to meet others in their area.
