Hi Janine,

Welcome to the group! I'm so glad to meet other parents of toddlers/young children with alopecia. My daughter, Lynnea, lost her hair at 8 months, but was diagnosed at 1 1/2 years.

Leah too lost her hair about the same time, and some came back but fell out again. Its nice to meet someone the same age as Leah! She will be 3 in July. Connor is a beautiful little boy.

Wow sounds like you guys are up on all the latest treatments, or I haven't heard of them yet. Let me know of your naturopathic and other resources. I am very interested to research myself.

Leah has always had eyebrows and eyelashes and has had some hairgrowth.

That is impressive regrowth Janine.....It is funny because Amber's getting regrowth as well and the pattern is very similar to Connor. Positive thinking for us both.....

JUST STOPPING BY TO SAY HI!!! HOW ARE YOU AND YOUR KIDS?? IS CONNORS HAIR STILL COMING BACK LIKE IT WAS THE LAST TIME WE TALKED??? HAYDEN DID HAVE A TINY BIT OF REGROWTH BUT IT DID FALL OUT AFTER A FEW DAYS..HE IS DOING MUCH BETTER THESE DAYS..HE WAS HAVING SUCH A HARD TIME FOR A WHILE THERE. HE SEEMS TO BE PRETTY HAPPY AND NOT LETTING IT AFFECT HIM WHICH MAKES ME SO HAPPY!! WHEN I FIRST CAME HERE I WAS LOOKING FOR A WAY TO MAKE HIS HAIR COME BACK, YOU KNOW..BUT NOW I AM JUST HERE FOR SUPPORT FROM OTHER MOTHERS DEALING WITH THE SAME THINGS...HAYDEN IS MY WORLD AS WELL AS HIS SISTER. I just wanted to tell you that your son is beautiful! His smile just makes his entire face beam with happiness. I have a 22 month old so I know what it feels like to love your child with all that you have. I hope you are finding support on this site. I am sure it is very hard to have a child with AA. Hi Janine,

Connor is adorable. It is great to see other beautiful and happy kids with this condition. I wish we ( the other families) lived close so the kids could get to know each other. His regrowth looks great- do you think it is the plant sterols? I haven't looked at natural alternatives yet. Did you hear of this working with others?

I know exactly how you feel. I get paranoid that Amber will start shedding again but I always keep my chin up and think positive and keep teliing myself that maybe this is just a phase she is going through.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I HAVENT BEEN ON IN SOOOO LONG..AND OF COURSE I HAD TO CHECK ON CONNOR AND I AM SOOOO HAPPY TO SEE HIS NEW PICTURES!!!! THAT IS AMAZING!
