i am fun loving and cool minded guy who likes to live this precious life to the fullest, no matter what may be the circumstances...i am persuing my PhD in BIOCHEMISTRY currently and would love to be the part of organizations/ institutions fostering alopecia research. rest i love to interact with people and know their culture and about their lives...............
Namaste! Unfortunately my Hindi is not great, so I only kind of understood your message lol. I think that you asked if I was attending the conference in Houston this year (?) I wish I could attend, but I am actually moving out of state next week for a new job, so I'm probably going to be too busy :( Where in India do you live? North? West? South? My boyfriend is Punjabi and grew up all over India (his dad was in the army). I actually just went out for Indian food tonight and it was soooo good! I had shrimp saag and cheese naan....delicious! Talk to you soon!

Hi Shailender - Thank you so much for the greetings, that was very nice of you!!
I appreciate it very much!
Hope all is well with you and that you have a wonderful weekend!!

Hi Shailender,
Idea is really good and I am really interested to be active member of any such forum, already i am working with few people who had recently got hit by alopecia acreta, also got sucess in many cases to suppress this at that point (exp of medicine from 10 yr as patient) and giving awareness that not to ignore alopecia at any stage... I am not a psychiatrist but I found some common cause that the people who get this problem in initial state are at either of 3 stage:
1) Person is over active and do lot of internal thinking in mind(even during dreams)
2) Heredity
3) at time of crossing the teen age due to hormones change..which is moreover related to point 1
In 1 and 3 at initial stage we can do lot to avoid this problem and I have seen many cured case but this become a monster if we keep changing the treatment/doctors, start doing home remedy or start going with TV ad
I am writhing all this in reply of your mail because we can help with these inputs to the people in research to come with some effective solution to this problem..

Hello! and thank you so much for the birthday wish!! Before this sight, I never really researched AA. Mine, of course involves all my hair being gone. At 46, I really don't want it back. I would have to color, style, and deal with the mousy hair I did have!! But really, I would love to have my eyelashes back, and that is about it.
I found your common threads very interesting for they are very familiar to how and when my hair left.
Have a great day tomorrow and always!!
Sonya
hello,
I am doing well out here. I was away on vacation so I am a bit late in responding to your comment. I will not be attending the conference this year. I am sad about it but other things came up. I hope to attend next year. Are you going?
I hope you are feeling better and that your travels home are pleasent.
Have you ever had Kidney troubles before? I hope they blasted the stone and it didn't come out. Ouch!!!
Hi Shailender,
Yes. I am back to school. I hope you had a great trip to the USA. It was nice to meet you. I had fun hanging out at the baseball game and after and look forward to seeing you in Indianapolis. You came further than Roger! Take Care, Matt
Hi Shailender,
Thank you so much for responding to me regarding the Minoxidil, I do think that it may be encouraging regrowth in some spots I've developed near the top sides of my head, I know that it is doing nothing for the shedding, as I'm still active, tho it has slowed down some, I usually stay quite smooth after a shed, for at least a few months, and have never had growth so quick, I am so far experiencing no strange side effects and am only using it once per day, tho it's recommeded 2x per day (I tend to be conservative with meds) Did you use anything during your times of loss, that you felt helped, or was useless? I really want to explore all my options, and often feel unsure of what to try with the least negative side effects. Thank you for the note back again, I look forward to getting to know others better here. Christine
Hi Shailender,
Glad to hear from you again, been busy here too, between work and trying to stay cool, I live in the Pacific northwest and hot here for us is about 80 in the summer, but we had a few days in the 100's, I thank God each day for air conditioning. As far as the AA goes, I'm still losing, hair keeps falling, and I'm spiraling, wish I felt better about this cruel condition, sometimes I get angry, sometimes sad, but it really makes me feel insecure, and self conscious, I wish I could be one of the beautiful bald women, but that's just not me, I feel better with hair. I am still growing and so I don't really have any totally smooth spots, but hair very short there. I am starting to lose at bottom, back hair line and around ears, this is my most difficult places, they are not filling in like the top part, and they are always smoothest longest. How are you doing? Most of your photos you have a lot of hair, I have a lot in between also, I'm quite worried this time I'll lose it all?? Hope not.
let me know how your doing?
Christine
It is nice to be able to share our lives with eachother even though we are so far apart. I will be posting some exciting pictures soon, as I am moving to Chicago. It should be a fun road trip and a really exciting experience. Plus, if I stay there then I will be closer to next year's conference :)
Hi Shailender,
Thanks for the note! I do not come to AW very often, more on Facebook. I heard that you are coming to Indianapolis? Roger and I have been talking about it... I am getting excited, even though it is still far away!
How are you?
