I am in my 30's and have had Alopecia areata for about past 12 years, on and off. In the past 2 years it got progressively worse, with no sign of improving. I believe that stress has also played a major role in my hair loss.
I havent found any treatment that works yet, natural or conventional but I keep my ears to the ground.
I would love to connect with fellow South African's and pool resources and knowledge.
Hi, I didn't go through with it because my hair miraculously went from 60 percent loss to 25. And one of the requirements is you must have 50% loss to participate. But there's an alopecia areata group on FB that I'm a mmember of where you can see the results of the medication. I believe the profile pic of the group is ribbons if you would like to join. All I can say is the stuff really works. Thanks for reaching out.
