Do you know what is triggering your hair loss? Or is it diffused alopecia? I'm doing okay. A year and a half ago I decided to shave my head and be done with the whole shedding mess. It helped alleviate the anxiety almost immediately. Would you consider shaving? I know it's not for everyone but it does help some.
If you need someone to chat with, I'm here! :) God bless!
Hello and welcome, Ann!
I know how hard alopecia can be. It's even worse when you watch your daughter going through the same thing. Let me know if you need help or support. One thing that you might be interested in is my book, written for women, called "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" (It just won two national awards!) It has helped a lot of women! There is lot of good info in it, it can answer many questions, and it's a fun read, too. You can find out more on my page. It's available on Amazon.com. Let me know if there's anything else I can do! I am here to help.

Your daughter may find it easier because she has you.
Is she interested in joining Alopecia World? Talking to others her age and who are also dealing with University/College life may help her. Sometimes our children are stronger than we think and deal with things better than we expect.
I found a little saying just recently -
Think Positive - Do Positive - Be Positive (I keep saying it to myself)
Sometimes having faith that things will be ok will get us through.
I think it is harder to watch our children have to deal with something like this than it is to deal with it ourselves don't you think?
Take care

Have you seen any improvement in your hair? What about your daughter? Any signs of recovery?
