- At age 57 (after 17 years of minor Alopecia areata) all the hair on my head fell out over 3 weeks. Within the next three months I lost all hair on my body except for fuzz on my face. But nasal hair grew back, I've now got patchy white hair on my head,and my eyelashes have grown in a bit, though they are very short and mostly invisible. I've come to terms with my condition but it wasn't easy. Time has helped a lot.
