Thank you for your kind words. I am very proud of Amanda. She has no qualms about telling people up front that she has alopecia. She has a great knowledge of the subject and people are amazed at how much she knows about it. I am hoping she will continue to be strong through adulthood. I am glad to hear that having alopecia did not deter you from anything in high school and that you still did what you wanted to do. You are lucky to have a great husband who loves and supports you. I hope to be talking more with you soon.

I shaved my head in July 2008 and have not worn a wig since then, I can't stand them, they're hot and itchy!
Welcome! How are you? I have a 6 yr old with alopecia. I know what a struggle it can be.

How are you doing today? You are a very fortunate lady to have a wonderful husband and a great attitude.

My husband loves me bald, and encourages me to go out uncovered. I tried wigs...I really did. But, I just have a very hot scalp and couldn't do it. I wear scarves (my YouTube video "Alternatives to Wearing a Wig" shows them) when I want some cover and it's cool, but most of the time, I just shine!
All the best,
Mary
