- My hair loss started about six weeks ago (mid-Feb 2010). The hair is still oozing out and does not seem to be slowing. Early diagnosis was telogen effluvium. Then alopecia. I don't know what kind, nor does it seem my doctor knows. Hair loss is on the scalp only (so far).
I'm 48, with very supportive young daughter and husband, in Tacoma, Wa.
