I'm doing well. I haven't been logging in that often either. I did watch a little of the documentary by Gail Porter, it's pretty interesting. How is everything going with you, are you enjoying the snow (yuck!)?
Hey Dionne,
One of my goals this year is to learn to accept & deal with my hair loss. I have went to multiple doctors and have went through series of testing and I am done with all of that. I told my doctor that there is not that much stress in the world for a person to lose all of the hair for years. Bottom line these doctors really do not know much about alopecia and they are still study this disease.
It's rough some days when I cannot get my lace wig to act right. Those are the times I wish I had my real hair back. But like I said it is time for me to face the facts & realize that my hair may never grow back and get use to being bald.
Hi Dionne...it's nice to meet you. You are definately not alone in Milwaukee. You would be surprised at how many people have AA here. There used to be a support group which is where I met about 12 people who have it. It was a very good feeling to know that I was not alone.
Very nice to meet you! I just found this site and am very glad. It's hard to talk to people who don't have this condition about the psychological ups and downs that come with it. So I'm glad to have a place to vent or just talk to others. Please keep in touch!
Hi Dionne - Thanks for the comment on my hair. I am wearing a full lace wig - "Indian Remy-Kinky curl". I purchased my unit from 5sms.org. It is called the Oprah style on several websites. I had my stylist chop it up some.
