I think a good wig shop will have a private room where they can do a haircut for you, and none of your friends or doctor's office would see you back there. But really, you need to write to everyone from your country on this site and find out which DERMATOLOGISTS, not doctors, are experienced enough in alopecia in your area to tell you if you have it. One clue: pitted fingernails, believe it or not, and hairs that fall out looking like exclamation points if you look at them up close. Go to www.naaf.org for more.
Hi Emma, I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you to Alopecia World. I have been living with Alopecia Areata since 1991 and know full well the struggle it can be. I look forward to getting to know you. Cheryl, Co-founder
