- I just went through my second bout with alopecia in 6 years and currently have no hair, with sparse eyebrows and lashes. The first time, my hair grew back completely, right away. Not so, this time. I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism last month,as well, after having been on men's for hypothyroidism for 7years. My dosage was recently reduced in light of my diagnosis. I have two grown sons and have been married to my best friend for 25 years.
