I am from New Zealand but moved to live in Brisbane Australia. in 2003 to be near my children and grandchildren. I have had alopecia at various times since I was 15 but have only been completely bauld in the past 7 years. I believe it was stress that caused my total hair loss.
Sorry no photo at this stage

Hi Joan,
Thank you for adding me. I am new here, as I just got Alopecia recently. I have lots of re-growth at the moment and hoping it won't fall out...however, what ever the outcome, I accept this. It is very hard, but th more I think about this, the stress I will get...
But I feel little bit relax, as I found lots about alopecia on the net...and really comforting to read that I am not alone...and would like to support others who are still hiding...that is why, I put my photos here and in my Facebook....well I am trying to be me...yes still long journey for me..
Hi Joan, nice to meet you..thank you for the compliment about my wigs. I try hard to look as natural as possible...I hate a wiggy look! I have worn a cap and scarf on occasions but never feel really totally comfortably. ..I guess I like to 'blend in' :) I wish I was otherwise sometimes as going around wigless would be much more comfortable, but I'm so used to wearing wigs nowadays it's like putting on another piece of clothing.

Hi Joan,
Hope you have a nice holiday back here.
Which part of the country are you going too? Its supposed to be Spring but the weather is so changable at the moment. One day warm, next day cold (we are supposed to be getting some more snow down here today in Otago). So if you are down this way make sure you bring some warm clothes just in case.
Have a great time
Cheryl
