Hi Laura,
I live in Canton. I started losing my hair in October last fall...by the end of January I also lost my eyelashes and eyebrows and was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata Universitis so this is all still so new to me. In most ways I find I'm dealing with this quite we'll and have accepted it, but it's the little things like finding by the end of the workday that half of one of my drawn on eyebrows is gone or never having long lashes again. I've been ok with the wig, but it's so hot in the Sumer I hate it and I'm not comfortable to wear anything else but a scarf. I am comfortable with being open about it and just straight out telling people which seems to help me feel in control by just getting it out there.
Anyway, I thought it was nice to know that someone so near to where I live understands and has experienced the same things that I'm going through. If you ever want to chat, let me know. Glad to have you as a new friend!
