I had a few spots when I was 16. I was in remission for 25 years and then at 41 my alopecia came back with a vengence. For the past 3-1/2 years it's been non-stop sheddin. At times I have over 20 spots at a time in various stages of baldness or regrowth. I use cortosone foam and get injections every 4 - 6 weeks with fairly good success. Up until October 2010 I was able to cover things up pretty well using Dermmatch to cover up my spots. In October I lost about 40 percent of my hair, not including the spots that were already there. It's already coming back back. I have a lot of peach fuzz, and the shedding has slowed down a bit. I am now wearing my headband fall or my new Raquel Welch wig most of the time. I prefer to go "commando" as much as possible. I am involved in martial arts and fitness and can't wear supplemental hair when I'm working out. I pray every day for spontaneous remission.
