Im almost 12 years old and i had alopecia when i was 3-ish and we put on cream and it went away.6 years later once again i was diagnosed with alopecia areata...the creams worked but my hair kept falling out so we accepted it and i just wore hats for a while. Then i went to The Mayo Clinic, but they didnt help AT ALL!!!! So now,we almost decided to get a freadom wig (maybe) so im going to check the place out as soon as my mom can drive (she recently had an operation on her leg..ouch!)
You are such a beautiful young woman!!! I am 30 years old and wish I had half the confidence you have! Keep it up because you are an inspiration to me... I would love to hear from you! I have relatives in Elgin...
Hey! I’m a friend of Shauntae C. and I was wondering if you could please answer these questions about Alopecia? I’m doing a News article for my Newspaper class final and I would like to interview you. If you would like to remain anonymous that’s fine, but I would rather put your name in the article. Also, I can send you a copy of the article I am sending in. If you don’t want to, that’s fine, don’t feel pressured! Thank you!
1. How old were you when Alopecia happened to you?
2. Was there a traumatic event that sparked this change, or did it just happen?
3. Does anyone know about your Alopecia besides your family?
4. Do you feel restricted by your Alopecia?
5. Anything you would like to add (thoughts, opinions, things people should know)?
