- Diagnosed with alopecia areata when I was 7, just a few spots at first. and then it was all gone so fast, progressed to universalis. when I was 14 almost all the hair on my head came back, but no eyebrows or eyelashes. the sides didn't really come back. then a year later it all fell out again. I have worn a wig since then and I am just so tired of pretending all the time. It's exhausting
