OMG, kids can be so cruel. I understand how hard it is for you.
Are there any good wig shops where you live?

Great about your school being proactive!
Let me know how you like the book. It talks about how to prepare your kids for the potential of being teased (it happens to most kids, unfortunately).
Hugs in the meantime!

Renee, I know it's hard -- when I was doing research for my book, "If Your Hair Falls Down, Keep Dancing!" it was obvious that alopecia is often harder on the parents than it is on the kids.
If you go to the National Alopecia Areata Foundation web site, you will find some help, including a "Parent Pack" which is for parents whose alopecian kids are going to school. It includes a free video that you can play for the school and teachers that explains alopecia. Often teachers have played it for the student body so that kids will understand it. This is helpful in offsetting and preventing teasing. Anyway, go to their web site at www.naaf.org.

If she wants to wear a wig, you should probably take her to get one. You can google sites for children's wigs. I also have some of that information in my book (which you can get on Amazon).

Let me know if you need more help.
