About Me
I am 47 years old, mother of 4 and grandmother of 9. There's not alot to tell, just begun to accept the fact that I have alopecia. After weaing sistah loch since 1999 when I decided to get away from my perm to try and over up my thinness. A couple of months ago I decided to cut my hair into a brush cut. I never realize how much I actually love it. Each day I get more secure in my looks.. I have a man who loves me and want to marry me. Retha, Thanks. I'm getting used to it. However, I do feel FREE!!! I completely shaved my head shortly after I gave myself the buzz cut, so I've had some time to adjust to it.

Retha, I'm doing well, still trying to adjust to my new do..I haven't taken the step of stepping outside without my wig yet. I'm not completely bald just yet either. I know how you feel even though I just shaved mines down, I'm wondering when and if I'll be ready to take that next step and shave it completely bald. I guess I have to feel comfortable enough to walk out in public without the wig first. I know that I do want to take the next step of shaving it bald, I'm just not sure when. Are you ready to take the next step and shave it completely bald? How do you know when you're ready?
