About Me:
Hi, my name is Robin. I do not have alopecia but my sweet little 9 year old niece, Danielle, does have it. I want to be a part of this site so that I may learn more and be able to help her deal with whatever the future holds for her. Danielles nick name is Dee Dee cause when she was little she called me Ra Ra...so I called her D D which became Dee Dee and it stuck. Her alopecia started probably 2 years ago. Just a little spot here and there, it was not to noticable and could be easily hidden. It has progressed greatly this summer, there is no hiding it anymore and she has lost her eye lashes and half an eyebrow and is wearing hats or scarfs when not at home now. I am so proud of her, she has a great sense of humor and this beautiful spirt and I pray to God that no one causes her to lose it. Dee may have just turned 9 in July but , in my eyes, she is one of the strongest people I have ever met.
