Hi Shellbell, I am so sorry I only saw your post now -- I haven't been on the site for a long time and I only managed to get back in now (emails and password changes etc). I got a freedom wig and I loved it. I have diffuse hair loss due to genetic alopecia and also due to taking medication for rhumatoid arthritis and fybromialgia. My hair recovered somewhat when they took me off the medicine but it is thinning out a lot now and I am going to go back to shaving and my Freedom wig. I shaved all my hair off for my fitting and just wore a synthetic wig for a few months until my freedom arrived. I shaved my head every morning (it was so liberating not to have to worry about hair falling out!). I tried special head blades and shaving cream etc, but in the end this is what worked the best and it took me about 5 minutes each morning (less actually).
1. Either be in the shower or run some hot water in the basin.
2. Wet your head with a cloth of the hot water to soften the hair a bit.
3. Lather your hair lightly with a bit of soap
4. Using a normal men's razor (I used Gillette mach 3), shave your head (back to front, and then go over it front to back).
5. Dry your head and put your freedom on, and you're good to go.
I have gone rollercoaster riding in my Freedom and it stayed put!
