I am now 23 and when I was 16 I lost almost half the hair on my head. It has grown back and then fallen out in patches periodically. I have started getting cortozone shots in my scalp every month so Im crossing my fingers that it will help the hair grow back. I have enough hair to cover the spots but only barely. It has become more and more difficult to do so. If anyone has any pointers or solutions let me know. Im hoping to find some people to talk to about this. Its getting harder to deal with.

Hi Stephanie, I wanted to welcome you to Alopecia World. I can honestly say that we are a great community here and I hope you enjoy the time you spend with us.
Hello and welcome, Stephanie!
I know how hard alopecia can be. I've had it for about 30 years!
I wrote a book on it called "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" and you can find out more about it on my page. Let me know if I can help!
