I have had alopecia for only 3 years which makes me wonder why I got it when no others anywhere in my family history had it. Does anyone else see this in their history? Thanks for any answers. Susan

Hi Susan, I wanted to welcome you to Alopecia World. I can honestly say that we are a great community here and I hope you enjoy the time you spend with us.
Me too. No one else in my family has it. I thank God my kids have
not gotten it. There is a young guy from Georgia (I think his name
is Jason) anyway, he has it and his twin brother does not. Go figure.

Alopecia isn't always genetic. It's a confusing and frustrating disorder.
