How along ago did your son start losing his hair? It's been 3 months for my daughter and it looks as though she must have lost about 70% so far. We ahven't shaved her head yet, but we really are considering doing it, because I can't stand to see the hair all over the floor and in her bed. It's extremely hard to cover the spots with the remaining hair... we actually it's impossible. The only reason why we haven't shaved her head yet is because she is just so in love with her hair... she just loves to play with it and brush it... and just be a girl. We have stopped using the steroid cream... we are putting onion juice on her head however and since we've been doing it (about a month now) we have seen alot of regrowth. Everyday I see a new area of regrowth... and a new area of hairloss. I don't care if all her hair falls out... I just hope to God that the regrowth sticks and doesn't fall back out! Good luck with your sons treatment... I hope you somehow find something that works!

Tonya, you are such a great mom, and Payton is soo blessed. The fact that you have been so tenacious about getting information about alopecia, and giving that presentation infront of all of those third graders speaks volumes about you as a person and a mother. Payton is tough and with your help, he is gonna pull through this!
