Day 1 with squaric acid treatment

Today is day one, May 29th 2013. I am to apply it every night to my head for 2 weeks and then every other night following. I sure hope this works, I would love to have something work! I try to be tuff, keep a stiff upper lip and say I don't care that I have no hair, but I do.... I want to have something....even if it is short I don't mind. I guess time will tell, wish me luck!

I have had AA for 25 years, and in the last 9 years it has progressed to varying forms of AT and AU. I have always had a life with Alopecia, it has NEVER ruled my life, until now. I am in a rutt, I worry nonstop about the effect that it has on my husband, my kids and my life. New hair

Well I have new hair!! My sis helped me on Thurs bond my new lace wig to my head. It is so odd to look in the mirror and see me with hair....lots and lots of hair! So far so good, it is different to have something on when I go to sleep or workout, I have wore regular wigs off and on over the last 15 years, but this is the first bonded one. My kids and super pumped about me going swimming with them or down a waterslide....I can't wait. I have spent way too much time on the sidelines.

Thank you so much! I am actually more comfortable in public with my shaved head than with a wig. I just feel like everyone should be free to be who they are, and not feel like they should hide their real self. The blonde is just because it hides my bald spots better...and I just like being a blonde :)
