I just joined and I'm looking for other females in Tucson to talk to. I have been dealing with Alopecia for a long time, but its been the last 4 mos. that most of my hair has fallen out. I really need someone to talk to that can relate! If one more person tells me to try "Rogain" i am going to scream!

I just joined this site & i live in Phoenix. I was diagnosed with AA a couple of years ago & I'm now getting to the point where I need to wear a wig. As I'm new to this I wondered if you could let me know what is available in AZ as far as wigs go? I'm trying to do my research & find out what different hairpieces are out there.

It's October 10th at the Pyle Adult Recreation Center 655 E Southern Ave in Tempe at 10 a.m. in the Payson Room. Just ask at the front desk and they will get you to the right room. Sarah Gomez is also a great person to contact as she is our group leader. Looking forward to meeting you Tonia!

Hi Tonia, good to hear from you. Sorry your new wig is itching so badly. What kind of cap is it? I know that I wear the monofiliment, hand tied wigs. They aren't netting or lace. Hope you can make it to our next meeting even though you have a long drive.

Welcome to Alopecia World! Glad to hear you found our group. I live in Peoria which is quite a drive to Tucson. I have had Alopecia since I was 5 and I'm now 51........a long time. Everyone here can certainly relate to you. Just know that you are not alone. I thought I was alone for most of my life until I went to a NAAF conference a couple years ago. It was amazing. And since we started a support group in Arizona I have made some wonderful alopecia friends. Keep in touch.

I saw your message. I live in Mesa, but want to invite you to our meetings - I know it's a long drive for you but we'd love to meet you. Our next meeting is June 27th at the Pyle Adult Rec Center 655 East Southern Avenue Tempe, AZ 85282 at 10 am in the Globe Room.

If you can't come to this one, the next is August 1st at Pyle at 10 am
