Kandi..
I wasn't always this happy and accepting as I am now. It has taken me years to get where I am at.
When I started losing my hair, I picked up and moved far far far away from family and friends- Got a divorce and had to start working and figure out why my life turned out that way. In all of that, throw in my hair loss and raising a two year old all by myself, I was a mess!!
But, I am glad I went through all of that. Life was throwing me crazy balls and I was catching them and trying to deal.. Trust me, it takes work.. But, if you keep facing issues in your life and learning to accept.. You will get here too :)

Hi Kandi,
How are you doing today? I've had alopecia for about 30 years. I was spokesperson for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, and decided to write a book so I could help women who are trying to made some sense of this! It's called "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" You can check it out by clicking on my page. It might make you feel a lot better about alopecia -- and if you need support, let me know!
