This photo is from a project I did last year for Cultural Studies, about my Alopecia. I'm a student and a parent. I live near the beach in New South Wales in Australia. I've had alopecia for the last 5 years. An invite to this site landed in my mailbox via a myspace account. Looks fun

It was the cover for a project I did about my alopecia and women and expectations around appearance and blah. I'd love to get a tattoo of the world map on my head. Just imagine as the patches shift and change so would the land mass'.
I love the artwork on your head - I usually feel as though I am either beautifully ugly or just beautiful in an ugly kind of way depending on the day.
I have had AUT for 13 years and I think I am going to tat my head - probably some celtic knot work in shades of green and blue.
AHHH...I'm jealous of your picture and it's inspired me to get creative with my "dome"....LOL!!!
I'm also a parent of two little one's as well.
Glad your here!!

Are you doing okay with your alopecia? Just checking in and wanted to say hello. I've had it for 30 years.
