Hi Petula
It seems to be a common that Alopecia sufferers feel like they are freaks because they have no or less hair. When I look at the photos of the members on the AW homepage, I smile because most of them look like they are enjoying life at that time. To me they don't look freakish, they look beautiful. Beautiful eyes and beautiful smiles. I bet you are beautiful as well. Think of yourself as beautiful - look in the mirror and tell yourself you are beautiful.
To me you can find something lovable in most people - you just have to look.
As far as Jon goes - he hasn't talked to anyone on this site - i wish he would. He might not feel so alone then. He knows that I talk to people on here - hopefully this will help him join in at some point.
And as far as your moaning - isn't that why this site is here?
Sorry to hear that today is not a good day.
I sincerely hope that your day gets better and that tomorrow is a good one for you.
It is amazing the number of people that suffer from Alopecia. And everyone copes in different ways. I find reading the discussions and blogs helpful.
I am a bit down myself. Jon has not gone to school for 12 weeks now and i am worried that he may not go back. He won't talk about what is really worrying him, other than he is uncomfortable about being bald - he hates it. He has isolated himself which is not good. I wish he would interact with others on this site. Talking is very important to help you cope.
I found a new saying today - i keep saying it to myself - BE- DO- THINK- POSITIVE
Praying you have a better day....
