- just arrived to New Zealand got alopecia about two years ago and I lost all my hair making me very Air-o-dynamic. I have not lost my humor though. on the positive side: don't need to buy razors to shave don't have dandruff don't need shampoo or hair gel, don't need to visit the barber every 6 weeks, don't need to wax my back for a sun holiday, it makes an interesting conversation and I can get away with wearing ridiculous hats. Accepted it for so long that that even if i grew it back and my hair did suit me, It was hard and still some times is. but i recon i am used to it and i would have to wax it???? am i mental. as one lad said to me in my local pub who is a skin head by choice. (it was my first shave to hide all my server patches) "once shaven you wont wan to go back" !!
